POST-OPERATIVE RECOMMENDATIONS

FOLLOW THE PRESCRIPTION
Pain is possible
for one week.

DO NOT CONSUME ALCOHOL DURING ANTIBIOTIC TREATMENT

DO NOT TAKE ASPIRIN
3 days before and 7 days after the procedure

DO NOT SMOKE
Smoking can cause delayed healing, leading to severe pain.

DIET
Avoid hot food and drinks for 24 hours
Prefer soft foods for 2-3 days.

BLEEDING
On the first day, slight bleeding
that tints the saliva red
is normal. Avoid rinsing
vigorously or spitting.
If bleeding is bothersome,
bite on a dry compress
at the site of the bleeding
for 10 minutes.

SWELLING
Your cheek may swell. Apply an ice pack to the cheek for 20 minutes and return to the
cold for 20 minutes; repeat several times on the day of the procedure and the following day. Speak as little as possible to avoid moving the operated area.

ORAL HYGIENE
Use mouthwash
(starting the day after the procedure) after every meal or snack (sweetened coffee). Leave the product in contact with the operated area without moving it. Continue brushing your teeth as usual, except in the operated area.

BRUISING
A “bruise” on the cheek or neck is possible and not serious. It appears in the days following the procedure and lasts 8 to 10 days.
